Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Train up a child in the way they should go! Fitness is the path, I'm trying to lead my students down. Every year my students take the FitnessGram Assessment. This assessment measures the students: aerobic capacity, muscular strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, and body composition. I have been at my school for over 10 years and over the years my students have reused and recycled the same equipment. This assessment is far more than just collecting data! It's promoting and encouraging our future leaders to take good care of their bodies.

A healthy lifestyle is not a choice, it's a way of life!

The goal of this project is provide my students with the proper equipment necessary for them to do their very best on their assessment. My students are a group of energetic kids who loves Physical Education and I would love for them to keep that passion for physical activity as they grow older.
