Promoting Communication During Daily Advisory Through Games
Help me give my students in our daily advisory class board & word games to play with one another to promote socialization and quality headphones for them to use on our dated school technology.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am just one teacher who is part of a hardworking school community in New York.
Our school serves close to 500 students, about half of whom are multi-language learners and/or special education students.
My students at this project-based school are from all over the globe: Bangladesh, Dominican Republic, Togo, Senegal, and beyond! We work hard every day not only to master algebra and geometry, but also to become masters of the English language.
My Project
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 9th graders at our school have one hour of advisory during first period. This hour is a time for students to prepare for the upcoming day as well as check-in on their own mental & physical wellness with guidance from their advisory teacher. One thing we need more of though is games. Lots and lots of games.
Please, help me give all 100+ 9th grade students board/word/card/logic games like Connect 4, Magnetic Tiles, & Set to promote communication with one another while also promoting a fun start to their school day infused with learning.
Furthermore, for students who need the support of text-to-speech features for IEP accommodations on online assessments, please help me provide adequate headphones that are capable of connecting to our school's very dated technology.
