My Project

Help my students make real word science connections. I want to use the Science world magazines to improve my students vocabulary. In recent years, I have noticed a dramatic drop in basic academic vocabulary in middle school students. I'm hoping that these magazines will help me to increase vocabulary and reintroduce literacy into my science room.

These magazines also give me a unique opportunity to increase interest in reading and make my science lessons more relatable.

Science can often be an abstract subject. Using these magazines, I will be able to introduce more real world situations to our lessons and bring science to life.
