Promote Learning: Keep Students Healthy, Calm, and Comfortable
Help me give my students air purification for clean air, a privacy screen for privacy and a relaxation area to support emotional and mental health issues.
Healthy students are better learners, and academic achievement bears a lifetime of benefits for health. This is my first project and I greatly appreciate your consideration and support as I try to help this student population and provide them a clean, healthy, calm and welcoming environment to promote optimal health!
Students must be healthy to be educated and educated to be healthy!
The clinic does not have separate exam areas, so the privacy screen would allow for students who are in a procedure, waiting for pick-up or needing some "relaxation" time for mental health issues the privacy needed while other students can still be seen. The air purifier will help to keep the air clean and kill the germs, protecting students that are in for daily medications, procedures or mental health issues. Having purified air will help keep the germs away and hopefully keep everyone healthier. The self-watering pots are for plants (such as pothos plant, snake plant, etc.) that also help with air purification while also giving students something to help take care of, create a relaxing and welcoming environment for elementary students who many times are anxious of any type of medical clinic because they associate it with shots. The table, stools and rotating desk organizer allow for a "relaxation station" to be set up for elementary students who just need a minute (possibly due to anxiety) or students with daily check-ins, to have a place to sit and wait, or unwind. The station will also be filled with paper and art supplies as in my experience, elementary students love to draw you a picture!! Thank you again so much for your consideration and support!
