This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students could benefit greatly from having reusable water bottles in school. Reusable water bottles will not only promote hydration and prevent dehydration but will cut down on waste from plastic one-time-use bottles. Students have access to water fountains, but with the warmer weather approaching, they request frequent trips to use them. The water fountains only allow a student a quick sip, whereas if a student had a reusable bottle, they could refill it and keep it in class. Having reusable water bottles in class will reduce the many requests to use the hall's fountains, which keep students in class. With students in class, staff will be allowed to teach without constant interruptions, and students will have access to water as needed. Hydrated students are more alert and receptive to learning. Please help me keep students hydrated while also cutting down on waste from disposable water bottles.
