I am requesting 20 folding TV stands for my music classroom. These will be used as a more affordable option for Orff instrument stands (xylophones and metallophones). The stand built for the instruments cost on average $150 each. With a full class set being around 15 instruments, this would be an incredibly large financial undertaking. Due to budget constraints, I asked for the advice of music teachers who had been in a similar situation and this solution was offered by one brilliant teacher!
Having the instruments on stands will make them much more comfortable to play as well as easier to share when students are partnered up.
Additionally, it will make percussion ensemble more accessible for older students and students with limited mobility (such as our students in wheelchairs). I chose these particular stands because they have a folding rack included which will make putting them away if needed quite simple!
I would love to get the best use out of the beautiful (and new last year) percussion set we now possess. Any donation you can make would assist with that goal greatly. Thank you so much for your care - it makes a big difference!
