This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The Pre-K autistic students that are in my virtual classroom are awesome; they come on-line ready to learn. They are special because they are very observant of what is being taught through visual, auditory, and hands-on activity. Some of my children come on-line first thing in the morning and look in the camera and start singing the "Good Morning Song." which indicates to me that they are ready to learn. They attempt to point to my teaching posters to count and read letters, colors, and shapes. I have a very extraordinary Pre-K autistic classroom. I love them for being them and wanting to learn.
My Project
The Teacher Pay Teachers credit will provide the students the opportunity to learn and use projects that were provided from teachers across the country. It will provide learning tools and handcrafted project materials to encourage students to be able to complete learning tasks with success. It will help them to become more independent and ready to work on the daily basis. The lesson being taught will consist of recognizing letters, numbers, colors, shapes, basic sight words and hands on crafts. The outcome will inspire the children to be more independent and motivated to learn.
