My students need 1 DLP projector for reviewing history content, reinforcing skills, and modeling assignments.

In a high need charter school, a projector is the simplest way to affect growth and learning. My students learn a great deal more from being able to visualize their learning process than they do from simply seeing content and skills displayed on the big screen.
I teach 9th graders at a high poverty charter school in Massachusetts.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and live all around the greater Boston area. Our school's emphasis on curriculum development, high academic standards, and professionalism make it a challenging and rewarding learning environment. 100% of our students are admitted to a 4 year college or university, and I often boast that we are teaching kids to think critically about the world around them, along with the skills that they so desperately need in order to be successful.
I'm hoping for a single LCD projector to be shared between my classroom and a few others. This projector would be used in my English and history classroom, as well as a neighboring math class. My students will use projector every day. We model almost all classroom activities on a big screen, using a document camera so that students can observe each other getting the work done. We use the projector to model notes, take online quizzes, conduct writing workshops, and and graph the results of our discussions. It is the essential piece of equipment that is needed to make my classroom run.
Basic supplies are the foundation of what makes schools run.
Without them, my ability to catch students up when it comes to basic skills and inspire and enthuse with content is severely limited. I cannot fully explain how completely a projector transforms a classroom environment when it comes to basic understanding of skills, as well as more complicated nuances. Thanks in advance for all that you do to contribute to schools.
