This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
None of my kids have ever used a Kinect. The Kinect is a great tool to use to boost student interest while using technology.
My students come from low income families with limited use of parks.
Now only would my students' health benefit so would their self-esteem. The suburban schools already have this technology in place in their Physical Education programs. My students deserve the same thing!
My Project
My students need projectors to use with their Kinect Workout System. My students will use these materials during various units. They will also use it during open period in the gym where they can get a workout under teacher supervision. I know these kids would enjoy this new technology and I also know that they would benefit, socially, emotional and of course physically!
My students have very limited experience in technology in the PE classroom.
I would love them to all have a love of physical activity for a lifetime. These projectors can make their dreams come true!
