My students need an Epson EX3260 SVGA HDMI 3LCD projector so that they can go on virtual field trips and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.
My students are full of energy and are learning to love school through hands-on activities and exploring the world around them. They come to school with different experiences and background knowledge and are learning how to come together to be a community of cooperative learners.
In class, we share what we know and explore new ideas and topics through common experiences.
We focus on project-based learning and this next year our day will go from 2.5 hours to 7 hours. We will have so much more time to explore our projects! From trees, buildings, making music, clothes, and recycling - everything in the world around us is a wonder to explore. I love looking at these everyday things through my students' eyes. As we study each project, students learn to share what they know, ask questions, find answers, and analyzed what they've learned while building a learning community.

The projector I am requesting will help bring the world to our classroom through virtual field trips related to our study topics or other student interests.
The projector can support our projects by helping us take virtual field trips to places we would not normally have access - a construction site, a forest, a clothing factory, or a recycling plant.
The projector can also support student interests by taking virtual field trips to zoos, aquariums, farms, museums, and even the White House.
A projector will help my students have additional shared learning experiences to further build our classroom community of cooperative learners and deepen students' understanding of how their world works.
