This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is a Title I elementary school in Philadelphia. All of our scholars receive free breakfast and lunch. School is a safe haven for many of our scholars. Many of our students live in shelters or foster homes.
Although many of our students go through a lot at home they have a thirst for knowledge and excel when they find success.
Please help me to help my students to flourish into the brightest bunch of kiddos I know they can be.
My Project
I am asking for a classroom projector. Having this would allow me to share videos and project the book our curriculum uses, onto the board. With a projector, my students will also be able to watch PowerPoint presentations related to the content that I teach. The use of both visual and audio tools are an absolute necessity to engage learning. This projector will be a great benefit to the students learning experience.
Imagine taking a virtual field trip!
This donation will change these students' lives because it will help them to learn in a more engaging way. We would use various videos and programs to take virtual field trips. The visual communication delivered to the students is more effective because it captures their attention and harbors their curiosity in learning.
