My Students
My classes are made up of fourth-grade students who attend a low-income public school in suburban Florida. Many of these students are from families with limited resources at home. We continue to reach for our goals.
It is important to create a classroom environment that provides the materials and the experiences that will lead to the success of all my students.
By incorporating hands-on lessons, participating in community projects, and providing after-school club opportunities, our students can reach for the stars.
Our district provides a free breakfast and lunch for every child. Although they do not quite understand the bigger picture of what this really means in the long-run, I will never let them figure it out in my classroom.
My Project
I am an excited first year. The room that I inherited has very little instructional technology. Unfortunately, we are lacking a working projector. A projector for my classroom will enhance our daily learning in English Language Arts and Social Studies.
Being able to project our lessons on a big screen will captivate and keep my students' attention leading to success for all students.
This projector will allow us to use the document camera so that students can model their work for others to learn. We will also be able to watch instructional videos to supplement my teaching. This instructional technology is a necessity that my students need in order to improve their learning.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
