This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a diverse and high poverty population. They are hardworking and enthusiastic about learning. Every day, they come to school despite hardships and engage in rigorous instruction. Our students take pride in our school. We are their extended family and they count on us to educate and guide them everyday. We have a large group of immigrant students. They are in our classrooms with little or no English skills. Despite their struggles, we perform at a high level.
My Project
This project I am requesting is to have the use of a proctor and document camera. These two tools will help bring active engagement into my classroom. I am hoping to have the tools to be able to use in my daily lessons that will enhance my teaching,
My students excel by having a large visual to see math problems, examples of student writing and science content comes to life.
My students are a fantastic group of students who are eager to learn. They are composed of almost half of ESL learners. This means my lessons need to focus on language development and listening skills. These two skills are essential to reach these students. By having these technology tools, they will support by giving me a visual for my students.
My project will benefit my students by watching PowerPoint presentations related to the content that I teach. It will help in lectures, group discussions and small group instruction. The use of both visual and audio tools are an absolute necessity to engage learning. This projector and document camera will enrich their learning experience in my classroom.
This donation will influence my students' learning because it will help bring more engagement and motivation to learn.
I am hoping you can support this project and touch the lives of my students forever, We get one year with these students so every day matters in how to Impact their lives and learning opportunities.
