My students need a digital TV so everyone can see the Smartboard.

My Students
My students come from a rural district in the Delta. Some of my students will be first generation high school graduates. Our school is Title I and sixty-seven percent of them qualify for free or reduced meals.
The area is changing as cotton production is down and new steel mills coming to the areas.
The students are starting to see that they need an education to enter the changing workforce of the Delta. Many of them dreamed of working on the farm but the need for farm labor is changing. My students need to be college and career ready.
My Project
My students recently received 28 computers for our classroom, however this blocked the view of the Smartboard for some. My students need a 40in television that can be mounted above the board.
This mounded television would allow everyone in the class access to the materials being projected.
The students sitting closes to the board believe that it would be easier for the to see if the could look up. The students sitting to the sides of the board do not want the board moved. So, the students have ask if we could apply for a grant that would help them get a TV.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
