My students need a projector, portable screen, laptop, laminating machine, and Bluetooth speaker to showcase their work as well as communicate with parents.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come from a predominantly low economic background. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I want to give my students an opportunity to explore technology. One's economic class should not determine your level of learning or hinder your creativity.
My children are four and five-year-olds who are excited to explore the world.
I want to Project their future by giving them the opportunity to showcase their work with technology.
My Project
With a projector, I could show presentations, videos, photographs, slideshows - tools that would enrich my lessons and benefit my students as well as parents. We use technology and the Internet in our classroom to research topics, view images of animals and places we may never get to see. These items will engage my students, give them access to other learning modalities, and meet their individual learning needs more effectively. This will increase the level of student engagement and achievement.
I know as a fact that every child in class has great potential and creativity.
This is why I am asking for your help. I want to provide my class with memories that they can treasure forever. A projector, portable screen, laptop, laminating machine, and Bluetooth speaker will enable me to use Photo Story in my classroom with students as well as the parents. I will be able to project my end of the year Photo Story to show parents their children’s growth throughout the school year without worrying about or forgetting what I want to say.
A Photo Story is a great way to showcase something we have been working on in class with your students or to communicate with parents. I will create a show and tell presentation that includes background music and transitions from my digital photos.
