My kids are very creative. Their eyes, as they walk in to see what they are going to create, makes me proud and seeing their creations makes me even prouder. Recently our area was affected by the hurricane and flooding and I'm doing whatever possible to make sure when they come to school they are having fun while learning and don't have to worry about things outside of school for even a little while.
The children are always excited to create in the art room.
I love watching how proud and excited they all are creating something. The differences in each child is unique and beautiful and I can't wait to see all their art.
My students at our elementary school, unfortunately at this time have to see PowerPoint and presentations on art, art history and artist profiles from a small computer screen when the school projector is not available. When I talk to the students I can tell that the hurricane and flooding from this year as well as last year has effected them. In the few short months I have seen a change in the students. They are proud of what they create and our ready to be distracted by learning new topics. The classroom is very big for the students to create and be artistic but unlike the other classrooms there isn't a smart board and the projector is sometimes not available. The students at this school are really ready to learn and a projector would be very useful so that I may show them examples on art and artists every class day. At the moment I go day by day who gets the projector first. Help me give what the students need to move past the hard times in the past as well as any in the future.
