This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Technology in Math! We want to project our ideas in math for everyone to see!!
The students in my class are wonderful children who work hard in class.
The majority of the students come from low-income families. They are sweet and work hard in class, but do not always have the supplies they need to succeed in school. Many of our students were unable to purchase the basic school supplies or uniform at the beginning of school.
Another prevalent issue that our students face on a daily basis is gang influence. We are working hard to teach the students more than just the core curriculum, so that they can succeed outside of the classroom also.
My Project
I am requesting a projector and cart for our classroom. Currently our school only has a few projectors in the library that we can check out one day at a time. I am doing my best to utilize technology in our classroom as much as possible. By having a projector and a cart for the projector, the students will be able to create presentations on a computer and present them in class.
This project is extremely important for the students' education.
One way that this will directly help to educate the students will be in my presentation of materials. This will provide me with the capability to do more presentations on the computer for the students.
Another way that this will directly benefit the students is by motivation. The students love working on computers and with technology because they do not have the opportunity to do so on a normal basis.
