The students at ERTES come from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds.
60% of the students receive free lunch and 80% of the students speak a foreign language at home.
Our school has the biggest elementary-aged student population in our district, and offers three distinct language strands to our students. Students are offered a wide variety of enrichment classes and activities including instrumental music classes, art, physical education, garden, dance, and various holiday festivals.
ERTES's school model is "We are College Bound." Everything that we teach at our school is for the sake of instilling a purpose of attending college for each and every one of the students.
My Project
The use of technology in modern education is integral to student success. In today's modern educational climate, both students and teachers use technology in order to deepen learning. Our classroom regularly uses technology such as the ELMO and projectors for a wide variety of subjects such as mathematics, science, writing and even social-emotional learning.
Our projector cart was recently found to be unsafe, as a result I am unable to project notes, worksheets, videos and other digital resources onto the board for my students to use.
In order to ensure continued student success and student safety, it is important for my classroom to get a new projector cart.
