it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We may be biased - but we believe we have the best kids around! Our school serves about 500 Kindergarten through 5th grade students. We've probably all been in a meeting or situation where someone was showing an item or reading a book and we just could not see it! Say no more - a document camera can fix that!
You might be asking, "Hmm, what is a document camera?" It's actually not really what it sounds like.
It's an amazing, small tool that teachers (and anyone!) can use to project an image onto a screen or SmartBoard. While a teacher is reading aloud, they can ensure that the words or pictures can be seen by all students. When working through a math problem, teachers can actively solve the problem or model taking notes for all students to see. When we are showing models, visuals, or realia (no matter how small), the document camera allows it to be projected and magnified for all students to see. Teachers can take pictures with the document camera to embed in lessons or record lessons or activities with images for students to review and watch.
We believe that having document cameras in classrooms will make a huge difference in helping students understand concepts, solve problems, build vocabulary, and more.
