Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Say GOODBYE to boring, overhead projectors and HELLO to the amazing technology of the LCD projector.
My classroom consists of 24 second grade students that are bright, curious about the world around them, and eager to learn.
The school they attend promotes lifelong learning through enrichment and differentiated instruction. They are highly motivated and always ready for a challenge.
My Project
With an LCD projector in the classroom, students will have access to a visual model of the lesson. They will be able to have access to PowerPoint presentations, take virtual tours inside museums, see pictures and videos and access the online curriculum.
Being able to connect the LCD projector to a document camera or laptop will provide my students the opportunity to experience current events, visit learning sites and be actively involved and engaged in the lessons. It would allow my classroom to utilize technology, graphics, and media in our daily lessons. A projector would provide my students with the resources they need to maximize their learning.
My classroom currently has an old, tired projector that shuts off in the middle of lessons and begins to overheat.
We need to wait for it to cool down before we can use it again. My students and I rely on the tools necessary for teaching and this is definitely one of them! Having a working, reliable projector will allow us to have uninterrupted learning for the rest of the school year and beyond.
