I teach children ages 7 - 9 with a variety of disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Emotional Disturbance, and Specific Learning Disabilities in a public school located in southeastern Pennsylvania.
I foster the future of our society: In my class, we focus on the small wins that help us grow into a better person each day, and we celebrate every step of the way.
My class is a part of a larger K-2 community whose goal is to educate and inspire all students to excel as productive, responsible citizens, and lifelong learners. My colleagues and I consistently collaborate to ensure we are meeting the needs of our students together. My class is about building and practicing the skills needed to become successful in the general education environment. The hard work that we do in my class each day is demonstrated through the children reaching their goals and planning their future ones.
My Project
White boards are a must in every elementary classroom. They provide a fun and engaging way for students to show what they know. Whiteboards also allow me as a teacher to informally assess what students are able to do. However, a whiteboard table would increase engagement and make learning that much more fun.
By donating to this project, you will help increase my students' focus and attention, as this table would be extremely engaging for them!
Individual white boards are fun, but they can get old and stained. A white board table would be something new and exciting to re-engage students in learning! Donating to this project would enable them to do so.
