Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second graders are bright, creative, and full of energy. They are bilingual learners who thrive when given opportunities to collaborate, explore, and take ownership of their learning. Our classroom is a joyful place where students support one another and work hard each day, but like many classrooms, we are limited by space and resources.

This project will provide our class with flexible seating options and storage solutions that will help create a more organized, engaging learning environment.

Flexible seating, such as wobble stools, cushions, or floor chairs, allows students to choose where they learn best. Some students focus more when they can move their bodies, while others need a comfortable spot to curl up with a book or work on a project with a partner.

In addition, organizational tools, a Storage Cabinet, and storage bins will help us maintain a clutter-free space where materials are easy to access. When supplies and resources are organized, students spend less time searching for what they need and more time focusing on learning.

Flexible seating empowers students to make choices, practice independence, and build self-awareness about how they learn best. Coupled with improved organization and storage, our classroom will become a space that supports both focus and creativity. Students will feel more comfortable, confident, and ready to take on challenges.

By supporting this project, you will help create a classroom that is flexible, student-centered, and welcoming, a place where every child has the tools and environment they need to succeed.
