Hi! First I would like to introduce myself and some of my classmates- we are very energetic and excited about engineering as a whole and the other subjects that are closely associated with it like physics, trig, calculus, geometry, and programming.
We are a diverse group of students and we come from different ethnic backgrounds and households, but again, we all have a passion for engineering.
There are 19 student in my class, but our class wants to get new and improved technology for everyone taking the Engineering Pathway classes at our High School.
Engineering students that have the opportunity to 3D print their own creations are better prepared for their future careers because after all, 3D printing is the future.
Being able to create their ideas in a CAD software, then being able to bring their ideas to life, will excite and inspire students' creativity.
In Their Own Words
This project will create a series of excellent opportunities for us. By first acquiring 3D Printing technology, and the required materials, we can begin to get a firm grasp on the technology that will soon be very common. We will create to learn from our designs and use them in our future projects.
We will improve our leadership skills by doing more group projects. This will encourage group leaders to improve on leadership skills that will help us communicate our ideas better and improve cooperation. Therefore, we will be able to make more opportunities available for the students to gain and develop their leadership skills.
3D Printing has become a core tool in recent innovative designing. By obtaining a 3D printer, we are able to achieve an enhanced learning experience in several different design and technological aspects. The class would be granted more exposure to the engineering field and increasing our overall preparation to help us become future engineers.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
