This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
On average, girls miss more class time than their male peers, and it's due to the difficulties that can come with menstruation. Unfortunately, period products can be a financial burden each month. I would like to take some of that burden away from our students, with the hope that they will be able to attend and focus more in class.
Project Period aims at providing students with what they need, when they need it, without having to miss a significant amount of class time to go to the nurse or even a school day together because they can't afford period products.
With your help, we can provide every teacher with a few period pads to keep in their classrooms for easy access.
