it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our classroom is currently facing an instructional challenge due to the failure of our projector. This device was the primary means by which I presented essential materials, from daily lesson objectives and literary analysis slides to educational videos that provided students with background knowledge on new topics. Without it, the shared visual experience crucial for exploring complex texts and fostering class discussions is severely compromised.
The projector’s large-screen display ensured that every student, regardless of seating arrangement, could clearly see and analyze textual details, visual aids, and examples, creating an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
The projector's integration with the document camera was invaluable for demonstrating close reading techniques, annotating texts, and showcasing student writing samples. Whether we were dissecting a poem, examining rhetorical devices, or collaboratively editing essays, the ability to project my work in real-time allowed students to actively participate in the analytical process. The absence of this technology not only hinders our ability to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons but also limits our capacity to model essential literary skills. Replacing this essential tool is not a luxury, but a fundamental necessity for maintaining the quality and effectiveness of our English curriculum.
