My Project
As a teacher, I have witnessed firsthand how the COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the learning of my students. For some, this transition has been difficult, and they have struggled to keep up with their peers. My team and I have adapted to try to give our students more hands-on projects and real life inquiry questions to inspire their learning.
As we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times, we must prioritize the social and academic learning of our students.
That is why I am writing to request your support in providing our students with the necessary resources to help them continue to learn and grow.
Specifically, I am requesting books, t-shirts, ink, and learning pads to complete a grade-level project about endangered animals specifically in Hawaii. This project will allow students to explore the impact of humans on the environment and the importance of protecting endangered species. By working collaboratively on this project, students will develop their critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, which are essential for their future success and also lacking right now because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your contribution will not only help us to provide our students with the resources they need to complete this project, but it will also remind them that they are not alone in their learning journey. It will show them that there are people out there who care about their education and well-being.
