Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are a high school library in a city school district. In our public city school, scholars are diverse, multiple language learners and at-risk readers. Currently, the entire school population receives free breakfast and lunch. Many scholars are warm, loving, and continually searching for ways to grow and become better each day. I am honored to teach such wonderful children.

I enjoy providing scholars a multitude of experiences to connect the curriculum and enhance their learning while promoting equitable access and allowing them to be creative and stimulate their curiosity.

My scholars are eager to learn, excel, and connect the curriculum in the library learning commons. I teach students about taking care of the environment, recycling, reusing and reducing so we live sustainably. They learn the importance of daily habits so less waste goes into landfills.

This project will allows students to scaffold what they learn by delivering the messages to the learning community on an eco-friendly footprint and making magnets to leave reminders. These requested magnet supplies will promote greater creativity and productivity. Thank you for your time, consideration and support of public-school children and school libraries. When you care about our children, you care about the future of America.
