My students need educational games for engagement, pocket charts/containers for organization, and the Dr. Seuss charts for visual cues which aid in learning.
Second graders love to explore and discover, especially through hands-on learning.
We are a Title I school that is diverse in ethnic and socioeconomic status, so I would love to provide all of my students with educational materials that will guide their learning.
Second graders continue learning concepts that lay the foundation for years to come. It is important to make learning fun by providing my students with engaging learning activities throughout the year. Also, providing my students with organization and procedures will help maximize the educational time that we have together.

My Project
This grant will provide my students with various items that will contribute to a better learning environment.
My students will need the educational games for engagement, pocket charts/containers for organization, and the Dr. Seuss charts for visual resources, which will aid in learning.
The pocket chart and the storage cabinet/container will be used for organization in the classroom. Organization will result in more time for teaching/learning. The students will use the pocket chart to turn in their completed work and the storage cabinet to store their supplies.
The Word Families Linking Cubes, Brain-Building Questions, and the foam dice will be used throughout the year as engaging educational activities. My students love to play educational games, and I have found that it really supports the learning process.
The Dr. Seuss Phonics posters will be used as visual resources in the classroom. It is important for students to have access to different resources, which makes learning concrete and meaningful.
Lastly, the chime will be used for classroom management. I learned that it is a great attention getter in a roomful of busy students.
