This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Project Giving Tree is made up of 20 of our very fabulous 4th, 5th and 6th graders. Our mission for our philanthropy club is to provide our fellow Bears(students) with the essentials they need to focus on their education. We understand the conflicts life sometimes brings makes it difficult to have a good meal, clothes and shoes. As a club we feel it is within our great honor to help our community as well as our peers through school wide fundraising events such as turkey trots, clothing drives, etc.
My Project
Students in Project Giving Tree are embarking into their second year of establishing their philanthropy club. Our requested materials will serve not only as a memory keep sake for our club and our school but will also bring in future donors to join our mission to help our students with basic essentials they need to have in order to learn in school.
Our goal is to raise awareness by uploading and printing our pictures and videos of our events to our parents, local newspapers and other active community members to build a food pantry at our school to extend to our families and community.
We hope that with the iPad, Sprocket and connectors can allow our philanthropy club create a sub committee that documents all of our events to not only share with others but reflect on independently. We hope that by doing so our future leaders can see the growth and change they make in their very own community, so that they may continue on with "paying it forward," as they continue their educational journey . Please consider in investing in our cause. Thank you!
