My Students

In our first grade class, we spend a lot of time reading. I want the students to learn to love to read as well. I would like for parents and their child to read at home together. One of my biggest concerns is getting a parent involved.

My students enjoy coming to class.

They are very excited to learn new things. My school works at making learning fun. We come up with many different types of learning games to encourage student engagement and learning. We want students to come to school excited and ready to go.

My Project

With these folders, students will get to take books and math home. This will help keep students organized and able to bring back work. It will help parents know what their child is learning about in first grade. This will help students increase reading through phonics, sight words, and fluency. It will also help parents know what math skill their child is working on at school. Parents will also get a weekly agenda with what is going on in the classroom and at school. I want to keep parents informed. Letters will go home in the folder so that the teacher may keep in contact with parents.
