Project: Comfy and Creative — Enhancing Learning Through Purposeful Classroom Design will establish designated, comfortable areas for small-group instruction and hands-on activities, enabling students to remain focused and engaged in learning. This past year posed challenges with circular tables and inadequate spacing, and rectangular tables will facilitate collaboration while ensuring proper distancing.
The new table in the dramatic play area will enhance the inviting and functional nature of the space, promoting role-playing and imaginative play, which are essential for language development, emotional expression, and fostering peer relationships.
Our students thrive in structured and organized environments. Updating our classroom furniture will contribute to a more predictable and accessible setting that encourages self-regulation and independence, particularly important for children with sensory sensitivities or developmental delays.
