This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

One thing that I have learning in my years of teaching is that students can learn better through working and collaborating on different projects and having fun. With these items, I wish to teach my history students finance and budgeting by creating a food truck business plan.

Effective finance education is an essential life skill for students.

Instead of doing the usual lecturing, my goal is to use these items to have students design and create a every aspect of a business including designing a menu, creating a design for the outside of a food truck, creating a budget, and even make an ad campaign.

The history books will allow me to make the learning come alive for my students through reading about different aspects in our country's history and make it far more engaging for them.
