My Project
Please help us get materials to engage our scholars as we prepare for our project based learning month. In this month we are going to take our math skills and apply them in creative and fun ways.
When students ask me, "Why do we have to learn math?" I love project based learning time because it shows them practical applications of math!
Yes, you use math skills when you cook. Yes, you use math skills when you make a model. Yes, you are even using math skills when you are making jewelry and other crafts.
Math is a universal skill that my students think is often boring. I get excited about the last month of the school year when we go to project based learning. If you can help us fund these projects my students will see that use math while making cakes, ice cream, models and jewelry. They also will get a tangible reminder of these fun activities and it will be a way to keep the students engaged as we near the end of the school year.
