This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a Title I school serving approximately 3,000 students, many of whom face economic challenges but bring incredible talent, creativity, and dedication to our choir program. Our current classroom speaker is over 10 years old and no longer provides the sound quality our students need to rehearse and perform at their best.

With a new portable JBL speaker and two wireless microphones, our Show Choir is free to take their performances on the road and perform at community events, school functions and outreach opportunities.

Additionally, students will be able to practice more effectively, develop strong performance skills, and record themselves for competitions, auditions, and personal growth. This sound system will elevate the entire choir experience—enhancing daily rehearsals, solo and ensemble preparation, and in-class presentations. Finally, it will help us share music with others and represent our school with pride and professionalism.
