My Students

I teach students with special needs. All of my students have some type of disability that effects them academically. They struggle with learning daily. They require the use of multiple instructional strategies which many times require extra materials such as manipulatives, electronic devices, and hands on activities to learn foundational skills.

My Project

I teach students with varying disabilities in my special education resource classroom. Many of my students learn best through hands on activities rather than paper and pencil based activities. The iPad and hands on games will be used to develop many academic skills that my students are lacking. Not only will these items help my students academically, but these items will also be a key material I use for my students' social, emotional, functional, and behavioral needs as well. These items will help them develop those life skills that are necessary to function in day to day life.
