My Project

In 6th grade at our school we engage in multiple problem-based learning challenges that are cross-curricular and connect directly to our content standards in real-world ways. But projects mean supplies and supplies cost money! These projects ask students to use their science, math, language arts and social studies knowledge to pitch roller coaster designs, keep an egg alive when thrown off the roof, and defend whether the escape from Alcatraz was really possible using raincoat rafts. Cardstock and tape for paper rollercoasters, raincoats and rubber cement for Alcatraz rafts and miscellaneous supplies for surviving an egg drop! Throughout it all, students work together to learn to solve problems and be effective teammates and communicators. Thank you in advance for your support!
