My Students

There are so many things that make my students so special. We are from a small town and it feels like we are all family. I went to school with many of my students' parents. It's funny how I can pick some of them out based on looks alone! My students love to read, and I LOVE to teach reading. I am a 3rd generation teacher so it runs through my blood. We are a Title I school, which means more than 80% of the students here are from low-income families and receive extra support from the school. As a teacher, there are many times when school supplies, craft materials, daily snacks, or pizza parties come out of my own pocket. These children are amazing students and deserve the best education possible!

My Project

My students need these items to make them feel like professional learners! They need dry erase markers and erasers to keep at their desk to make them easily accessible and to make transitions from one activity to the next smoother and faster. This will allow us to utilize our time while learning. My students need color copies and page protectors so that skills can be printed and reused. This will help save us time and money in the future! My students need flair pens to improve their writing and help make locating adjectives and strong sentences fun! Each of these items will impact my student's learning and bring excitement to my classroom.
