This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a diverse and high poverty population. They are hardworking and enthusiastic about learning. Every day, they come to school despite hardships and engage in rigorous instruction. Our students take pride in our school. We are their extended family and they count on us to educate and guide them everyday. We have a large group of immigrant students. They are in our classrooms with little or no English skills. Despite their struggles, we perform at a high level.
My Project
This project is for professional learning for the upcoming year.
Every teacher loves a good book.
This book will help provide professional learning opportunities for our staff. We will use this book to help guide our everyday lesson planning, collaboration, and planning the next steps for our students. It will help bring accessibility, choice, with a blended learning/UDL lens.
Professional learning book studies help provide our teachers access to learn and apply to their everyday teaching. This will impact many students for years to come.
