Professional Handheld Recording Technology for Performance Ensembles
My students need a professional handheld recording device to record the ensemble to provide real-time feedback in rehearsals inside and outside of the classroom.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are talented musicians with whom I have the pleasure of making music every single day. No two of them are alike and they form a strong family within the instrumental music program at our school. They all have the passion to play music and bring with them a variety of skills and talents from their unique personal situations. They all come from different home situations, education levels, cultural backgrounds, and self-identities.
With their strong passion and talent, there are still many students who do not have the ability to own their own instrument or to obtaining private lessons, so we work to providing the highest quality materials and education here at our school each and every day.
They are hard-working and resourceful and worth all the love and support I can give them to develop into better musicians and people.
My Project
These materials will allow the next level of music technology to enter each and every performance ensemble at the school. With these materials we will be able to provide real-time feedback to the ensemble on how the sound from the audience's perspective. This will allow immediate improvement to a rehearsal environment. The equipment allows the students to record, in high definition, their performances and rehearsals and audio engineer them to be uploaded to music editing software to produce excellent videos and recordings to be used for auditions, recruitment videos, audio CDs and albums.
This technology will open up the doors for better presentation and recruitment for individual students as they will be able to submit high-quality recordings of their performance(s) to honor groups, colleges and universities as well as to other performance opportunities that require high-quality samples to be submitted.
The same will be available to the program students as a whole as better submissions to local, state, and national performance venues can be submitted. Better recordings can also be made available to students to use as part of assignment and reflections that are part of the music performance classroom. In addition, this will allow students to keep a great portfolio of their musical progress ideally through the four years that they are in the music program.
