This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A NAfME (National Association for Music Education) and Active Oklahoma membership will give me access to high-quality, on-demand professional learning through the NAfME Academy and Annual Virtual General Music Conference. These memberships provide over 250 recorded webinars and sessions led by expert music educators, covering topics such as classroom management, diverse repertoire, movement, and creative lesson planning.
This virtual professional development will allow me to learn at my own pace and continually apply new strategies in my classroom throughout the year.
By exploring new songs, movement ideas, and culturally responsive practices, I can create more engaging and inclusive experiences for my students, helping them grow as confident, joyful musicians!
