Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my first professional development project. As a nurse, it is important to consistently stay afloat of evidenced based practices. I currently do not have books I can reference when needed. These professional books have the information I will use to assess and triage the students I encounter on a daily basis. By improving my skills through resource texts, I will have the ability to quickly identify those students who require next level care whether that means they are sent home with parents or sent to the nearest emergency department. These professional texts will also allow me to become an expert within my field and base school. I will be able to provide current up to date information and help other school nurses with assessment of situations and provide feedback to further empower their own practice as a school nurse. By funding this project, you will directly contribute to the success of my work quality and the services I will provide. Thank you for your generosity and support.
