Our students really enjoyed using the foldable tables during the end of last year! We had a lot of review activities to use them with. My students mostly used them as small groups on the carpet to work on worksheets or study. The said it allowed them to focus and get work done.\r\nStudents were also able to use them during testing periods. Some students sat at the tables and others used them as lap desks. We loved the versatile uses for the classroom setting.\r\nAs a teacher, I loved seeing my students use the resources provided in the room to aid in their education. I am so happy that we were able to get this as another flexible seating arrangement.","fullyFundedDate":1743461422254,"projectUrl":"project/working-around-the-room/9151244/","projectTitle":"Working Around the Room!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Santos","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9274642"},{"teacherId":9707077,"projectId":8972277,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my first-grade classroom received a collection of STEM manipulatives that sparked curiosity, creativity, and a whole lot of joy. When we first opened the materials, my students were beyond excited—grinning ear to ear and eagerly asking, \"Can we use these today?\" It was a moment I won't forget.\r\nWe used the tools to dive into early engineering challenges. One standout project was a bridge-building activity, where students worked in teams to design structures using interlocking blocks. They tested how much weight their bridges could hold and enthusiastically adjusted their designs based on results. Every successful build was met with cheers and high-fives—it was pure, hands-on learning in action.\r\nIn the weeks that followed, we launched into a \"Mini Architects\" unit. Students used the manipulatives to create miniature buildings, learning how to sketch blueprints, build to specific criteria, and reflect on their process. It helped build not just STEM skills, but collaboration and confidence too.\r\nYour donation made all of this possible, giving my students the tools to explore, experiment, and imagine. It is quick and easy to sharpen pencils, cutting down on lost instructional time. Students lost no time in personalizing them!\r\n\r\nWe've also been able to use our laminator to make classroom supplies.
