This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a therapeutic day program in Bridgeport Connecticut. Most of my students are diagnosed with either an emotional or psychological disability which prevents them from attending their general education neighborhood schools. All of my students come from a low socioeconomic background and 100% of my students qualify for free school lunch.
My Project
This Wilson Reading System professional development would allow me to be trained in how to implement an intensive reading program that will benefit my students!
All of my students are receiving special education services and most of them are below grade level in reading.
By becoming trained in Wilson, I will be able to use this program in addition to my student's general curriculum to help teach them how to read. I am very eager to learn about this program and hope that you will consider donating! Thank you so much!
