My students need problem solving games for math stations.
This project expired on January 1, 2015.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Solving math word problems is a skill my students will work on every year in elementary school. Keeping the problems interesting and engaging can be a real challenge.
My group of second graders are quickly learning to become independent learners.
They have started to become aware of which skills they need to focus on the most. Giving them opportunities to choose their own activities is both exciting and rewarding.
With the math centers and games from Lakeshore, the students will be able to choose the skill and the level they are working at. It will help get them excited about doing problem solving in math. The sets include problem solving with addition, subtraction, time, money, and measurement. These are each essential skills that every child needs to master in second grade.
By donating to this project, my students can learn that math is fun!
They can take charge of their own learning and can track their progress as they move through the levels. Each dollar makes a difference!
