Prizes, Robots and Learning! Oh My!

Help me give my students rewards and prizes delivered to their doorsteps! Also, the classroom robot kits will be used multiple times a year when we get together as a class to do STEM days.

My Students

The students in my classroom have had a crazy few years! Some of them come from long-time online public school families but most of them have joined us due to circumstances surrounding COVID 19. Many of my students have high-risk health concerns, others have concerns or issues with masks, and others are searching for a more stable and experienced online school environment. Enter public online school with 15+ years experience!

All of these elements have contributed to students who are more behind than ever before and a great need to catch up to their grade-level curriculum.

I would like to use this funding to give my students a bump in the materials I use to intervene and motivate them.

My Project

Each month my students set goals in their schoolwork. When they reach those goals I love sending them prizes in the mail. This connects them more fully to me and their class as we meet virtually to discuss our goals and outcomes. They will receive balloons, stickers, and personal notes from me!

The class sets of robots will be an especially fun motivator when we get together for our in-person events.

Together these mailers and robots will be a great bump to our classroom fun and learning. I can't wait to connect with them on a more personal level as we work together to build and play during our STEM days!
