Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing! Most of them have been at the school since kindergarten, and our school is special because we can really develop a close relationship with each individual student as they grow up.

As a school with a bilingual program, students are immersed in rigorous instruction in both English AND Spanish!

There are numerous benefits to being bilingual and students work very hard to access the curriculum despite it being a challenge. We have both Spanish-dominant and English-dominant speakers, which means that 100% of our students are second language learners!

My Project

These materials will get students excited about working on class projects that include making poster to show off their work in class. Kids always get excited to choose different colors to make their work stand out! Of course, we want to reward them for their good work as well!

Making learning fun and engaging means getting excited about completing projects and celebrating the great work that students do along the way!

We all appreciate a little reward after doing something that required a lot of time and hard work. Having prizes and incentives at the ready in class keeps my students motivated! When we play a class game, I need to make sure my students stay on their toes and the group or person that wins, gets recognized for this!
