My students need prizes for our carnival such as candy and toy cars.

My Students

Musical, creative, inquisitive, energetic...these are all words that describe my students. They love to sing, move, play instruments, and learn in hands-on ways. They love to use drums, Orff instruments, and ukuleles in our music room, and they love to perform.

Around 25% of our students come from military families, and this brings them their own unique set of challenges.

We have also received new students from Puerto Rico due to hurricane Maria. I want to teach them a love for music that will last them their whole lives, wherever they may find themselves.

My Project

A very important piece of education is parent, family, and community involvement. Research proves that students do better academically when their families are involved and invested in their education. Some parents are not as involved for a variety of reasons; perhaps their schedule is busy, and sometimes they are intimidated by the school system and conversations about their child's grades.

One of the goals of our school carnival is to build positive and fun associations between students, parents, families, and the school.

We also love the chance for our students to be physically active, participating in sports such as football toss and exercising while jumping in bounce houses. Our school is located in a suburban community with our feeder schools close by, and we often have former students come to the carnival to enjoy the fun and/or volunteer. We are requesting prizes to be used in carnival games, such as candy and toy cars. We look forward to a wonderful carnival!
