Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help! My classes could really benefit from prizes. My classes are a mixed group of general education and special education students.

My students come from low-income backgrounds where extras are not always available.

Many of my students have the bare minimum and these extra prizes for hard work and reading give them the incentive they need to be successful.

Many of my students are ENL and SWD´s. These children read on a lower reading level. Every time they finish a book, they receive a prize. This excites them and gets them reading.

My students had to adjust to remote and in-building learning. They had to learn how to navigate google classroom, work in noisy environments and succeed in unprecedented times.

My students are wonderful, hard-working children who deserve a prize for all of their commitments.

My students are such hard workers. They come into school and always give it their all. They love to succeed and have pride in their work.

My Project

My students work so hard in school. They have been dealing with the stress of Covid, readjusting to in building school and dealing with the strain of remote learning. Returning to school after such an adjustment has been stressful. Fidget toys are a great tool for children to keep their hands busy as their minds work. Each book that the students finish, garners them one prize. Many of the prizes are these fidgets that help motivate and focus the children.

I would love to provide them with snacks and prizes for their hard work.

Students tend to work even harder when they know incentive is involved. Also, my special education and ENL students are from low income homes where they don’t have much. These little prizes and snacks give them so much joy.
