This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"I not only use all the brains I have, but all that I can borrow." - Woodrow Wilson This is one of my favorite quotes. I have it displayed on the wall in my classroom and encourage my students to work together and build on what each other knows. However, there are times when sharing isn't encouraged.

Such times are when taking tests, or working quietly on projects where they need their own space to concentrate.

My classroom has a unique challenge of acoustics due to being an uncarpeted room with many windows and hard walls, so quiet is hard to come by.

My Project

My students are a talkative bunch, much like other 5th graders. They do need help staying involved in solo activities and privacy partitions would do just that. My students will use the partitions during spelling tests and other tests where I need to know exactly what they have learned.

Your donations to this project will help my classroom by allowing me to get an accurate portrayal of what my students know and what they still need to be taught.

It will change the dynamics of our class by giving us a way to have individual work time in a large and distracting environment.
