This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students attend a high poverty, Title I school in Arizona. More than half of the families of my students do not have enough money to buy art supplies for school and are considered low-income households. Also, Title I schools have a high percentage of students who receive free and reduced-price breakfast/lunch.
My students not only come from low income, high-poverty homes but struggle with school in other areas (math, reading, and science).
I would like to create a printmaking art project to help students learn about printmaking as an art form. Thank you for your help!
My Project
The art materials requested for the Printmaking Art Project will help my students to understand how to create an artwork using block printing ink can really be fun and exciting! Students can learn that printmaking is an art form and what the world of printmaking is all about.
Students will learn how to create a design, and how to transfer the design onto paper using a printing plate.
Students will be engaged, and learn about printmaking!
Thanks so much for helping to bring art to a great group of students!
